Services

Settlement Services

Settlement Services
As a grassroots organization, EAPA helps East African newcomers find a sense of belonging and start their journey in Canada. While we do not provide housing directly, we:

  • Connect newcomers to housing resources and community supports

  • Offer referrals to essential services, including health, legal, and educational support

  • Create a supportive environment to build confidence and community

Information and Guidance

Information and Guidance
We understand that navigating a new country can be overwhelming. That’s why we:

  • Provide culturally appropriate information to help newcomers understand Canadian systems and their rights

  • Offer one-on-one guidance to answer questions and connect newcomers with the right resources

  • Help newcomers find programs and supports that fit their needs

Workshops

Workshops
Our workshops are designed to build the skills and confidence of East African newcomers. We offer:

  • Language and computer skills sessions

  • Employment and financial literacy workshops

  • Parenting and family support activities

  • Cultural and intergenerational programs that strengthen community connections
